According to Uni India “ A Rs 20-crore Sikh museum and research centre will be constructed in the cantonment town Jabalpur and Rs 12 crore granted for developing six major shrines associated with Guru Nanak within Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Kamal Nath averred on Friday.
He was speaking during a Mantralaya meeting of a committee constituted to commemorate Sikhism’s founder’s 550th Prakash Parv in a grand manner, an official release said.
“This committee will function permanently. Our intention is that the body not be limited to this event but continue to work actively amid the community. I urge the convener and members to regularly contact people residing in the state and inform the dispensation of their quandaries and suggestions. On November 12, principal government offices will be decoratively illuminated, health camps organised, seminars conducted and sports competitions held,” the Chief Minister said.
