Sight and sound show 'Jindan Nikkian' at Aam Khaas Bagh

According to Times of India “ On the second day of Shaheedi Sabha being observed to commemorate the sacrifice of Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh and Mata Gujri Ji,  large number of people watched the Sight and Sound show named 'Jindan Nikkian' at Aam Khas Bagh in Fatehgarh Sahib and appreciated the initiative of the state government. It is worth mentioning that this sight and sound show was organized first time during the Shaheedi Sabha. 
A number of events such as the creation of Khalsa Panth at Anandpur Sahib, Pariwar Vichora, Battle of Garhi Chamkaur, Martyrdom of Sahibzadas, Conquering of Sirhind by Baba Banda Singh Bahadur etc. were presented during the show. 
Harbaksh Singh Latta who directed the show said that the play was written by his father late Harcharan Singh who was a renowned writer and remained Chairman of Punjab Kala Parishad and also served as Head, Punjabi Department for 10 years at Punjabi University, Patiala. He said that his father has given words to the various plays and this play named 'Jindan Nikkian' is one of them. More than 30 actors took part in this play. 
Deputy commissioner Amrit Kaur Gill said that such shows play an important role in connecting the people, especially the youth with their rich cultural roots which would further motivates them to work for the welfare of society.
