Sikh body to hold meet on Dec 28

According to Tribune India "To commemorate its seventh foundation day, the Sikh Youth of Punjab (SYP) has announced to hold a conference in Jalandhar on December 28, dedicated to the supreme sacrifices of four sons of Guru Gobind Singh.
After presiding over the meeting of their activists here today, Paramjit Singh Tanda and Paramjit Singh Mand, head and spokesperson of the SYP, informed the media that their group had decided to hold a conference on ‘Martyrs and our responsibilities’.
The SYP has observed that growing intolerance, denigration in religious institutions, large-scale corruption in politics and rising drug abuse has left demoralising effects on the lives of the youth of the state.
Dal Khalsa head HS Dhami and chairman of Sikhs for Human Rights, advocate Harpal Singh Cheema, will be key speakers.
They said the speakers would touch issues ranging from government’s failure to unearth the conspiracy behind the disrespect to Guru Granth Sahib at Bargarhi village, let alone arresting the culprits and denial of justice to the victims of Behbal Kalan police firing.
